Adidas ADIZERO PRIME X3 STRUNG
Beginner
⚠ Caution: This shoe has an ultra-high stack + carbon plate + Energy Rods, giving very strong propulsion for beginners. If your running technique isn't well-developed yet, you may easily feel "dragged along by the shoe" and experience insufficient stability.
✅ Advice: If you're just starting to run, first build a foundation with a more stable, conventional cushioned shoe, then gradually introduce this kind of "high-tech super shoe" into your training.

User Review Summary

Users report that although the shoe feels bouncy and comfortable, stability is slightly lacking at slower paces or in situations with many turns, making it better suited as a race-specific shoe.
The Adizero Prime X3 Strung is extremely clear in its performance positioning — built for those chasing breakthroughs, speed, and long-distance race training. Its massive 48–50mm stack height with triple-layer Lightstrike Pro foam plus carbon plate + Energy Rods 2.0 propulsion system gives runners a strong forward push and acceleration feel during tempo runs, long-distance pacing, or race day. The Strung upper technology provides sufficient wrap and breathability, giving it a very high-tech feel overall. For city road running, chasing PBs, or taking on half/full marathons, this is a very capable choice.
However, its positioning as a race/super-training shoe also means it may feel somewhat "aggressive" for slow training, corners, or those who prefer a soft and stable ride: the thick sole is noticeable, the platform is high, and stability on turns or for those with uneven foot strikes requires caution. From a price and durability standpoint, using it as a multi-purpose training shoe may not be as cost-effective as a daily trainer.
In summary, the Adizero Prime X3 Strung is a performance-driven running shoe for runners with clear goals around "speed + propulsion + marathon challenges." If you prefer stability, daily training, or casual running, consider rotating it with a more "gentle" training shoe.
Adidas claims a 7mm heel-to-toe drop, but this clearly does not conform to World Athletics official measurement standards. We measured 13.0mm (nearly double the official figure!), though there is certainly nuance behind this.
The rocker geometry of the PX3S outsole is very pronounced. If you shift the forefoot stack height measurement point slightly backward, the drop is not actually that large. This is likely Adidas' design intent, and we believe the perceived drop when worn is closer to 8-10mm — though this depends significantly on your landing style.
