Not recommended for beginners. The Taichi UP30 PRO 2.0 features a full-length carbon fiber plate and a PEAK Taichi supercritical dual-density midsole in a racing-oriented build. Its 28/36mm stack with an 8mm drop is racing geometry, and the plate's rigid propulsion demands considerable leg strength and gait control. Without sufficient strength, the plate alters natural foot mechanics and increases load on the plantar fascia and calves. Build six months or more of base with a cushioned trainer and 120km+ monthly mileage before considering a carbon racer. If you already have that base, this model's propulsive efficiency will impress.
