Not recommended for beginners. The Chitu 9 Ultra features a Li-Ning BOOM supercritical foam midsole and a full-length carbon fiber plate; its 26/34mm stack and the plate's rigid propulsion demand considerable leg strength and gait control. Without sufficient strength, the plate alters natural foot mechanics and increases load on the plantar fascia and calves. It suits runners who can already complete 10km and want to experience carbon propulsion. If you have no running base at all, build 3-6 months with a cushioned trainer (such as the Wushi or Yueying series) before considering a carbon shoe.
